Robert Earl Keen - Deer Valley
The St. Regis Big Stars, Bright Nights Outdoor Concert Series at Deer Valley Resort announced its 2009 summer line up. Among the artists is Texas born Robert Earl Keen! Robert Earl Keen will perform on September 7, 2009 with opening performances by John Doe and Jill Sobule. For those less familiar with the well known singer songwriter, Robert Earl Keen is a humorous storytelling musician with a diehard following around the country. His style of music is often classified as Americana or Texas Country. Some fan favorites include “The Road Goes on Forever” and “I’m Comin Home”. Many a family in Texas, and often intoxicated college students, recites his very popular “Merry Christmas from the Family” around Christmas time to get in the spirit, which highlights small town Texas culture. Keen performs mostly in Texas, but is no stranger to Park City. He has made a regular summer appearance at venues on Park City Main Street for the past few years. Local artist Bryon Friedman opened for one of his shows recently. Tickets for the show go on sale Wednesday, April 15, 2009 and are $31 for general admission and $56 for reserved seating.
