Visitors to Deer Valley Resort in Park City Utah often ask the question, “What are the best restaurants for fine dining near Deer Valley”.  To answer this question we carefully reviewed all the restaurants near Deer Valley Resort and put together the complete list.  The following Deer Valley restaurants are listed in order with #1 scoring the highest and #9 scoring the lowest.

The Stew Pot restaurant was awarded the #9 Deer Valley Restaurant position in our “Best Deer Valley Restaurants near Deer Valley Resort” survey.  Located in the Deer Valley Plaza which is in close proximity to the Deer Valley Resort Snow Park Lodge, the Stew Pot is a long time favorite with Park City locals.  During the summer you should definitely make use of the sun soaked deck overlooking a pond with fantastic views of Deer Valley Resort.

This casual eatery is known for hearty food and satisfying portions. Soups and stews are crafted daily from fresh ingredients and are always delicious. Many patrons opt to couple them with either a sandwich or a crisp salad for the perfect lunch.  Notable salad options include curried chicken, Cobb, seven vegetable, and spinach and chicken. Sandwiches are built from tuna salad, ham, turkey, and other spreads. You can also get beef, veggie, and seafood burgers or stir-fries.  Dinner options include daily fresh catch, jambalaya, or the pot roast dinner, a comfort food feast.  The Stew Pot is also known by locals as a great weekend breakfast spot.

Royal Street Café

The Royal Street Café was awarded the #8 Deer Valley Restaurant position in our “Best Deer Valley Restaurants near Deer Valley Resort” survey.  Located in Deer Valley Resort’s mid-mountain Silver Lake Lodge, the Royal Street Café offers award winning cuisine along with a fantastic location in the heart of Silver Lake village.

First courses include Yellow Tuna Tartare, Asian Cured Duck Confit with Butterleaf Lettuce Wraps, Deer Valley Turkey Chili, and Dungeness Crab Tower.  Main Courses include Asian Chicken Salad, Chipotle BBQ Burger, D.V.B.L.T., and Grilled Tuna Tacos.  Finish off with McHenry’s Frozen Lemon Meringue Pie, Deer Valley Jumbo Cookies, or classic Vanilla Crème Brûlée.

Fine wines and refreshing seasonal cocktails are also available.  Royal Street Café is open during the winter ski season for lunch and dinner and will reopen for lunch on the outdoor deck June 19 through Labor Day, 11:30AM to 2:30PM.  Free parking is available, reservations are recommended.

Deer Valley Fireside Dining - Swiss Raclette

The Deer Valley Fireside Dining was awarded the #7 Deer Valley Restaurant position in our “Best Deer Valley Restaurants near Deer Valley Resort” survey.  Set in the picturesque mountain location of Deer Valley Resort’s Empire Canyon Lodge, Fireside Dining offers local favorites from the European Alps.  The experience features four courses each prepared and served in front of its own wood burning stone fireplace.

Visit the first fireplace to find warm Swiss raclette cheese served alongside steamed new potatoes, house marinated pearl onions, cornichons, cured Italian and Swiss meats, freshly baked baguettes and accompaniments including house-ground mustards and chutneys.

The second fireplace offers simmering fricassées and stews prepared with hearty alpine ingredients such as chicken, beef short ribs, quail, veal, venison, wild mushrooms, leeks, roasted tomatoes, root vegetables and fresh herbs.  Served alongside is a traditional Swiss staple, hand-grated, crisp, buttery potato rösti.

Deer Valley Fireside Dining - Roast Leg of Lamb

The third fireplace features fire-roasted leg of lamb brushed with fresh herbs and seasoning, as well as polenta or three onion risotto prepared in a dutch oven.

The fourth and final fireplace offers tempting desserts such as chocolate, caramel, and white chocolate Grand Marnier fondues.   Apples, strawberries, bananas, cinnamon pound cake, almond biscotti, and Deer Valley chocolate chip cookies are served alongside for dipping.

Fireside Dining is open during the winter ski season, Wednesday through Saturday.  The buffet style dining charges $52 for Adults, $28 for Children age 11 years and younger.  Free parking is available, reservations are recommended.

Deer Valley Seafood Buffet

The Deer Valley Seafood Buffet was awarded the #6 Deer Valley Restaurant position in our “Best Deer Valley Restaurants near Deer Valley Resort” survey.  Located in Deer Valley Resort’s Snow Park Lodge, the Seafood Buffet is listed in Zagat’s Restaurant Guide as one of America’s Top Restaurants.

Appreciated by both locals and visitors, the Seafood Buffet offers a wide variety of fresh seafood, including chilled shellfish, sushi, hot seafood appetizers and entrees, as well as prime rib, grilled fowl, and pasta.  An extensive selection of homemade desserts will satisfy any sweet tooth at the conclusion of the meal.  Fine wines and cocktails are available.

The Seafood Buffet is open during the winter ski season, Monday through Saturday, 6:30PM to 9:00PM.  The buffet charges $62 for Adults, $34 for Children age 11 years and younger.  Free parking is available, reservations are recommended.

Bistro Toujours Restaurant - Duck au Poire

Bistro Toujours was awarded the #5 Deer Valley Restaurant position in our “Best Deer Valley Restaurants near Deer Valley Resort” survey. Tucked away in the elegant Chateaux at Silver Lake, this unique restaurant is Deer Valley’s only fine dining restaurant to feature French cuisine.  Bistro Toujours has been named “Top 50 Best New Restaurants in the World” by Condé Nast Traveler and “Award Winner of Excellence” by Wine Spectator. The signature dishes are complemented by outstanding French and American wines, and the casually sophisticated atmosphere captures the authentic touches of a true French bistro. Under the direction of Chef Billy Deaver, the wood-burning oven puts forth flavorful, aromatic entrées served with warm hospitality.

The Bistro Toujours experience begins with crusty French baguettes served with whole roasted garlic, and of course, a warm bienvenue (French for Welcome!) for each and every guest.  Some favorite first courses include Escargots en Coquilles (baked in shell with herbed garlic butter), Charcuterie (Herbes de provence salami, foie gras pâté, cornichons and grilled baguette), Mussels à la Marinière (Steamed Prince Edward Island Mussels with white wine, fresh herbs and béarnaise). Salads and Soups include Bistro Frisée Salad, classic French Onion Soup, and Butternut Squash Bisque.

Chef Specialties include Duck au Poire (Pan-seared Maple Leaf Farms duck breast, chanterelle mushrooms and walnut ragout, roasted pear, and a blackberry and orange gastrique), Morgan Valley Rack of Lamb (Pistachio crusted Morgan Valley rack of lamb with pommes anna, candied French carrots and blueberry gastrique), Pan Seared Idaho Red Trout (Green apple, celery root and chive crème fraîche slaw). Other specialties from the grill include Bone-In 14oz. Ribeye and and Wood-Fired Filet Mignon.

Bistro Toujours is open seven days a week in winter, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. (Closed April 5- June 30 & September 2nd until early December)  The restaurant re-opens for summer July 1st (closed on July 4th) through September and serves Lunch only, from 11:00am to 3:00pm Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.   Reservations recommended during the winter only.

Ticino Trattoria

First courses include Fresh Oysters on the Half Shell, House Smoked Wild Salmon, Kobe Beef Carpaccio, Roasted Pancetta Wrapped Quail, as well as other unique dishes.  Main Courses include Veal Tenderloin Medallions, Prime Beef Tenderloin Filet, Sablefish Mariposa, Rocky Mountain Rack of Lamb, Pan Roasted Sea Scallops, and Seared Natural Bison Filets to name just a few.  The tasting menu features an expanded six-course variety of the chef’s specialties or vegetarian dishes offered in small portions which can be paired with wines.
